Talented female act, Becky Enyioma, born and bred in Port Harcourt, began singing professionally at age 17 when she recorded her first song with Port Harcourt music producer and singer—Rolly Ajomiwe and Reggae Artiste Pupa Say. Later Becky was introduced to Geraldo Pino who employed her as a singer with the ‘Geraldo Pino and his extended family band.’ During this time, Becky was a student at the University of Port Harcourt studying Theatre Arts and she appeared on her first Nollywood production alongside Rita Dominic and Francis Duru in 1998.
Becky sang with Pino’s band for two years and then went further to own her own band. 2003 saw the birth of her first album titled ‘Someone to Hold’ and music videos directed by Sam Dede. Then she played a supporting actress in a Nollywood film production directed by Opa Williams and starring Sam Dede and Ireti Doyle. 2005, she was signed with Lagos-based record company and her second album ‘Don’t lose it’ was born. Becky then left the country for the United Kingdom, and back into University.
She attended the University of Aberdeen and holds the Master of Arts Degree in English Literature, Film and Visual Culture, and an MSc in Management, Economics and International Relations. During this time, she wrote a book and recorded her third Album titled ‘Fear No More’ which is only available on the Internet.
She returned to Nigeria in 2012, and worked on new single titled ‘Gimme Something’. She describes music as something she cannot run away from, no matter how much she tried.
