For those who don’t know the tea, YSG (Record label that Vector is signed to) has been collecting money from his appearances, shows.. for the past four years without paying Vector or the rapper earnings from his craft and the hard work he’s been doing.
Vector got tired of the scam, went on twitter to vent/break silence and this got YSG (His record label) riled up and they got the Nigerian Police Force involved, claiming that when he took a self-sponsored vacation to the United States, he actually went to sign a record deal. He was presented with a ‘breach of contract’ petition which was settled amicably as his father is also a retired police officer. Vector, feeling threatened eventually surrendered the car and apartment the label got him, acquiring replacements for himself but his troubles were not yet over. No sooner had he returned to his normal life that he and his personal manager were seized by the men of the police force, at the video shoot of Ghetto RMX with Shank and were detained for over six hours until his lawyers stepped in.
Sources close to him revealed that there had been several instances of personal threats from the label and though he hasn’t felt so safe, he didn’t want to talk about it. His twitter account (@vectorYSG) with over 100,000 followers has been confirmed to be have been deactivated by his label, but his manager has released his newly activated twitter handle (@VECTORTHAVIPER) and official website www.vectorthaviper.com
A lawsuit has been filed by Vector against YSG, but they have to wait until September to get an injunction, until then YSG is still holding on to all of Vector’s materials and content.
