[PHOTOS] : Choco City Gets Injunctin against Brymo
Prior to Brymo and his manager’s denial about the court injunction against him, our sources at the Federal High Court in Lagos have just informed us that Chocolate City had early this week gotten an injunction against BrymO via the Media Entertainment Law firm of L & A -Legal Consultants: restraining him from recording, releasing, distributing any composition, song, musical works or carrying out any activity as a recording or performing artist through or for the benefit of any person or organization other than CHOCOLATE CITY pending the determination of the suit against him.
You would recall that BrymO walked away from his contract with Choc City and did not care about the consequences while his contract remains valid until 2016.
We have it on good authority that Chocolate City, through its lawyers tried everything possible to amicably resolve the stalemate, infact the Arbitration clause in the recording contract was activated and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators took charge and appointed an arbitrator to settle the matter but BrymO refused to attend any of the settlement meetings. They had no other option but to protect their investment by going to court.
It would seem that our entertainment industry is getting more structured on a daily basis going by the way this is turning out.

Chocolate City gets a Court Injunction against Brymo
Now I see the reason for Brymo's tweets Few Days Back....
He literally can't work as an artist until he sorts himself out with Choc City. Apparently his former record label Chocolate City through their law firm, L & A legal Consultants on Monday October 21st got an injunction against him, 'restraining him from recording, releasing, distributing any composition, song, musical works or carrying out any activity as a recording or performing artist through or for the benefit of any person or organisation other than Chocolate City pending the determination of the suit against him.
Chocolate City says Brymo's contract remains valid until 2016. Brymo is too talented not to work... please y'all should sort this out!

[READ] : Davido Approved The “Skelewu” Video I shot - Video Director; Sesan Releases Press Statement
Sesan, the director behind the unofficial Skelewu Video by Davido, that leaked yesterday, has released a statement addressing Davido’s tweets yesterday… This was kinda expected between I mean Davido’s tweets weren’t completely nice. Read Sesan’s statement below:
My attention is drawn toward the chaos surrounding the release of the skelewu video. Myself and my team shot the video for Davido in Nigeria and to the best of my knowledge my client and his team were very happy with the result, when they watched/ and approved the video. If he has since had a change of heart, that is ok. I am not in any way responsible for the release of the video. I believe Davido and myself did a very good job regarding the video production and as a professional of over 10 years. I find it very irresponsible and immature if my client and his management publicly put out false statements/comments, in an attempt to tarnish my name, credibility and reputation. I remain dedicated, humble, focused and as hard working as ever. Thank you to all my fans and industry professionals – Stay blessed.

[READ] : Davido Addresses Unofficial Leaked Video For ''Skelewu''
On the 15th of October, some unscrupulous elements released an authorised video for Davido's runaway hit single 'Skelewu'. Indeed the said video was shot previously but was discarded because Davido was concerned about the quality of the video which does not compare with all his previous efforts. Fans, the music community and the general public should be aware that the video uploaded to the Youtube account bearing the name “DAVID-O HKNMUSIC” is a parody account opened by a third party to release the below-par visuals. Davido addressed to issue on micro-blogging site Twitter when he arrived in London from Sierra Leone with the following tweets;
“Plus disregard the leak that is not the official video... The official video is being redone. Thx ..”
“No worries God dey!! Skelewu official videos hoot this Thursday shot by @MrMoemusa”
The video of the song which is already topping charts across the Nigerian and the globe is receiving a video treatment in the United Kingdom by Moe Musa and will be premiered soonest. Davido and his management wish to thank his fans for their continuous love and support. The video shoot continues in the United Kingdom from Thursday.

Brymo Set To Release New Album “Merchant, Dealers & Slaves” On October 20th + Album Art + Video Teaser)
After what seemed like a 3months hiatus, Brymo has announced an October 20th, 2013 release date for his third studio album.
The album, titled “Merchants, Dealers & Slaves” is a documentation of Brymo’s personal experience in relation to how everyone regardless of who they are experience similar problems.
“The album was written and recorded at a time when my aspirations were at crossroads in a battle against societal limitations and prejudice. My journey into self realization.” says Brymo.
“Merchant, Dealers & Slaves” has an obvious Afrobeat influence and is probably the best representation of the genre since Fela himself.
“This album is a testament to Brymo’s evolution as a musician.” Says Lanre Lawal.
Brymo spent the last 3 months out of circulation, in the studios with his genius producer Mikky Me and the result is this classic work of art and creativity.
With socially relevant messages, strong energetic vocal delivery, catchy hooks, laced on hard hitting drumlines created by an outstanding music producer; Brymo has delivered a classic!

Yung6ix Inks Multi-Millionaire Naira Deal Between “Kash Kamp” & “Trick Billionaire Musiq"
Picking Things' rapper and King of the South 'Yung6ix' floated his imprint "Kash Kamp" a few months back, the camp houses Percy (whom was featured on Yung6ix's most recent single 'First Class') as well as talented producer Otee Beatz.Yung6ix's camp welcomed a hand offered from 'Trick Billionaire Musiq" for both parties to partner with the end-result of taking Yung6ix and his brand out of Africa and sharing his brilliance with the rest of the world.
The mouth-watery deal is rumored to be worth about $250,000 with a sign-up fee of $100,000 inclusive and will see the young rapper release his long awaited album '6'O Clock' under "Kash Kamp Trick Billionaire Musiq (KKTBM)"; and fans should expect new stellar materials from Onome Onokokwomo in the near future. A rep from 'KKTBM' confirmed this report saying that the music community should expect a wind-whirl from Yung6ix because of the blueprint set and the drive and hunger he has seen in the rapper and also revealed that Onome's debut album will hit stores in months.
