BET Awards ’12 Nominations.....WizKid, IcePrince, Sarkodie Nominated


The nominations for the BET Awards ’12 were announced today at a press conference in New York. Find out which artists,athletes, and actors scored nods.

Though it’s been a great year for Nigeria’s WizKid, IcePrince & Ghana’s Sarkodie and we should be seeing them nominated a lot over the next few months of award season. First on the list though they have been nominated at this year’s BET Awards in the Best International Act: Africa category. They join Camp Mulla of Kenya, Lira of South Africa & Mokobe of Mali.

The award ceremony will hold at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on July 1st 2012, and will be hosted by Samuel L Jackson.
Last year 2face & Dbanj were nominated in the same cBeyoncé scored two nominations in the coveted Video of the Year category for “Countdown” and “Love on Top.” She will compete against Jay-Z and Kanye West’s “Ni**as in Paris” and “Otis” as well as Usher’s “Climax.”
Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown will perform at the 12th annual show, while the Cadillac Lifetime Achievement will be presented to Maze featuring Frankie Beverly, who will also take the stage.
Samuel L. Jackson has been tapped as host. The BET Awards ’12 will air live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on July 1. Check below for a full list of nominees.
