Murder Case: ‘Autopsy will determine Stereoman’s freedom’

Popular musician, Stereoman, a.k.a. ‘Ekwe Sample‘, is still being held at the D4 section of the State CID, Panti for alleged murder.
The Delta State-born act whose real name is Osakumi ‘Stereoman’ Sunday, has been accused of killing his ex-girlfriend and mother of his daughter, Rukayat Idris.
In a phone conversation with Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Joseph Jayeioba, he confirmed the musician’s arrest and detention, and said the police are still working on the case.
The case is still under investigation and we are waiting for the autopsy report for our final investigation‘ he said.
According to Jayeioba, the singer ‘is still insisting on not knowing anything about the situation and that he has been falsely accused by the lady’s family, but the autopsy result will tell’.
Rukayat was found dead in her car under a bridge around Mile 2-Badagry expressway in Lagos last month. The deceased reportedly had marks around her neck, suggesting she had been strangled.
The family of the deceased has insisted Stereoman is responsible for their daughter’s death, due to the way he allegedly treated her while they were together.
