I Did Not Do ‘Only Me’ For Mikel Obi – 2Face Idibia

Yesterday night, April 30, 2012, at the 3rd edition of Buckwyld ‘n’ Breathless, RnB Superstar 2face Idibia cleared the air once and for all about the Mikel Obi diss rumours.
The concert, which held at the prestigious Eko Convention Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, also served as a launch event for 2face as he released his latest and fifth studio album, “Away and Beyond“.
During his performance of his mega hit “Only Me“, he paused to clear up the rumours which had been flying all over since 2010

“that he sang Only Me in retaliation to Mikel Obi snubbing him at a club in the UK. The song was said to have lyrics (roughly talented) like “Don’t think it is only you that would be rich, don’t think it is everybody that will play football” which in turn fuelled the rumours more.”

2Face  was quoted saying

I did not do this song for Mikel Obi. Mikel Obi is a wonderful and talented footballer. So please stop spreading the rumours.

Let’s hope that this clears the rumours once and for all!!!
