Former President Olusegun Obasanjo mocks Eedris Abdulkareem

After 8years since the hit track “Jaga-Jaga” was released by Eedris Abdulkareem, ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo who was the president at that time would not let the beef he has towards the track and the artist go.

Speaking at a forum organized by Nigeria Leadership Initiative (NLI) in Lagos on Tuesday, “Baba Iyabo” has he is popularly called couldn’t hide the disgust he felt towards the song, even after eight years since release of the song.

According to the ex-president, “one of the worst problems Nigeria is facing is disbelief”, adding that “Nigerians no longer believe in themselves neither do they believe in their country.” “That takes me back to that song Jaga-Jaga, how could a sane man dare to call his country Jaja-Jaja?” he questioned.

“It is the height of blasphemy, we are grooming our youths for tomorrow’s leadership and with such persons I don’t think the country can move forward” he stated categorically. It seems that even after Eedris released a song to appease the ex-president, “Baba Iyabo” would not let bygones be bygones.

I don’t think this is the last time we would be hearing from this two.
